HL Deb 05 December 1945 vol 138 cc333-4
THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR DOMINION AFFAIRS (VISCOUNT ADDISON)

My Lords, your Lordships will remember that yesterday I stated that if the debate on agriculture were adjourned until tomorrow, Thursday, I would suggest to the noble Lords who have business on the Paper for that day, that we might meet at half past two instead of four o'clock in order that their Notices should be dealt with first, and that the adjourned debate on agriculture should follow. As your Lordships are aware, we did not conclude the debate on agriculture yesterday and it has been adjourned accordingly. I have therefore been in communication with the noble Marquess, Lord Reading, who has the principal business on the Paper for tomorrow, and he has readily agreed that we should meet at half past two. May I remind your Lordships, therefore, that the House will meet tomorrow at 2.30 p.m. and not at 4.p.m.

I would also like to remind your Lordships that the House will meet on Monday next at four o'clock to take the Motion on Palestine that is on the Paper, and that it has been arranged that the time of meeting for Tuesday next should also be four o'clock, in order that the judicial sitting may continue until the afternoon.
