HL Deb 24 May 1944 vol 131 c895
LORD SOUTHWOOD

My Lords, I beg to ask His Majesty's Government a question of which I have given private notice—namely, when they intend to announce their proposals with regard to the prevention of unemployment after the war, and whether this announcement will take the form of a White Paper, a Bill or a Ministerial statement.

THE MINISTER OF RECONSTRUCTION (LORD WOOLTON)

My Lords, I am grateful to the noble Lord for the question he has put to me. The statement will take the form of a White Paper, and copies of this White Paper will be in the Vote Office at 10 o'clock on Friday morning of this week.
