HL Deb 25 July 1944 vol 132 c1083
THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (LORD STANMORE)

My Lords, the agents for the Promoters have been unable to comply with the Standing Order, but manuscript copies of the Amendments have been sent to the Government Departments concerned and, as there is no opposition to the Amendments, I hope that in the circumstances your Lordships will agree to the suspension of the Standing Order.

Moved, That Standing Order No. 173 be considered in order to its being dispensed with in respect of the said Bill.—(Lord Stanmore.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 3a.— (Lord Stanmore.)

On Question, Bill read 3a, with the Amendments, and passed, and returned to the Commons.
