§ THE EARL OF CLARENDONMy Lords, I have here a Message from the King, signed by Her Majesty the Queen and her Royal Highness the Princess Elizabeth, as Counsellors of State:
"We, Counsellors of State, to whom have been delegated certain royal functions as specified in Letters Patent under the Great Seal of the Realm dated July the 22nd, 1944, have received your Address to His Majesty praying that the Pensions (Increase) Act (Extension) Order, 1944, be made in the form of the draft laid before Parliament. We will give directions in accordance with your Address."
