HL Deb 30 March 1943 vol 126 c959

Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (VISCOUNT SIMON)

My Lords, in a couple of sentences I beg to move the Second Reading of this Bill. It is a pure Consolidation Bill, the object being to put into this single Statute what is now to be found in three separate Acts of Parliament. If your Lordships give the Bill a Second Reading it will be sent to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2a.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Bill read about ita, and referred to the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills.
