§ Order of the Day for the consideration of the Third Report by the Select Committee read.
§ The Committee reported as follows:
§
1.—Civil Service War Bonus.
The Committee sanctioned the application of Treasury Circular No. 8/43 for payment of War Bonus to the staff of the House of Lords to whom it applies.
§
2.—Library Attendant—Due for Retirement.
The Committee approved an extension of service to Mr. Albert Edward Pettit, M.C., Library Attendant, from October 14, 1943, to May 4, 1944, inclusive and sanctioned a pension and additional allowance under the Superannuation Act, 1935, payable to him thereafter.
The Committee authorized payment of salary to Mr. Pettit on his reappointment from May 5, 1944, as a temporary Library Attendant.

3.—A.R.P. Palace of Westminster.
The Committee sanctioned a weekly increase in pay to the Custodian Auxiliaries and an additional payment to Mr. W. Lewis, fireman, for clerical work in the A.R.P. office, as recommended by the Fire Committee.
§
4.—Salary of Resident Housekeeper.
The report of the sub-committee on the salary of the Resident Housekeeper and on certain salaries and retired allowances was approved by the Committee.
§
5.—Official Report.
The Committee agreed to the addition of the word "Hansard" after the words "Official Report" on the Title page of the Parliamentary Debates.
