HL Deb 16 December 1942 vol 125 c606
LORD DAVIES

My Lords, I-beg to ask the question which I have on the Paper.

[The question was as follows:

To ask His Majesty's Government, whether, in view of the urgent need for nurses and the importance of clarifying the conditions of service and remuneration in that profession, they will take steps to expedite the publication of the interim report of the Rushcliffe Committee.]

LORD SNELL

My Lords, I have been informed by my right honourable friend the Minister of Health that he has made clear to the Committee his desire to receive their recommendations as soon as possible; and that my noble friend Lord Rusheliffe has informed him that he hopes, in view of the considerable progress already made, that it will be possible to submit a First Report early in the New Year.
