HL Deb 20 May 1941 vol 119 c195
THE LORD CHANCELLOR (VISCOUNT SIMON)

My Lords, I have to inform the House that I have received a telegram from the President of the Egyptian Senate expressing the deep indignation of that body at the destructive air attacks made on the Houses of Parliament ten days ago, and conveying its sincere good wishes for the final victory of democracy. The House will perhaps authorise me to send a suitable Message in reply.

The said Message from the President of the Egyptian Senate was ordered to be entered on the Journals of the House.
