HL Deb 25 March 1941 vol 118 cc906-8

Clause 96, page 79, line 23, at end insert:

Section eighty shall have effect as if for the reference to the Civil Defence Acts, 1937 and 1939, there were substituted a reference to the Civil Defence Acts (Northern Ireland), 1938 and 1939.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, the Amendment is to a clause which is now Clause 96 in the Bill. It is purely consequential. The clause applies the Bill to Northern Ireland and the Amendment substitutes a reference to the Northern Ireland Statutes relating to Civil Defence for the reference to the Civil Defence Acts. I beg to move that this

House doth agree with the Commons in their Amendment.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

House adjourned.
