§ THE LORD CHANCELLOR (VISCOUNT SIMON)My Lord, I beg to introduce a Bill to provide for the adjustment and settlement of the affairs of persons financially affected by war circumstances; to extend the Courts (Emergency Powers) Acts, 1939 and 1940, and the Possession of Mortgaged Land (Emergency Provisions) Act, 1939, in relation to certain contracts; and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid.
