HL Deb 15 July 1941 vol 119 c732

Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.

THE EARL OF LUCAN

My Lords, on behalf of my noble friend Lord Temple-more, I beg to move that this Bill be read a second time. As your Lordships will be aware it is necessary in order to apply the Finance Bill to the Isle of Man, and it is a formal measure which is passed every year. Your Lordships, I am sure, will not require any further words from me.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2a.— (The Earl of Lucan.)

On Question, Bill read 2a: Committee negatived.
