§ LORD SNELLMy Lords, the future sittings of your Lordships' House and the business to come before it will be communicated in the usual form, not from the Leader but from the Deputy-Leader of the House. I beg to move that the House do now adjourn as a mark of respect for our late Leader.
§ Moved, That the House do now adjourn.—(Lord Snell.)
§ LORD ADDISONMy Lords, on the Motion that the House do now adjourn I should like to say that it is within my knowledge that many noble Lords have attended to-day to take part in a discussion of the very important subject of manpower to which I was asked to draw attention and which is on the Paper. I believe that efforts are being made to arrange for the discussion to take place on an early day that will best meet the convenience of your Lordships, and I hope the date will be communicated to us as quickly as possible.
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
§ House adjourned.
