THE PARLIAMENTARY UNDERSECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA AND BURMA (THE DUKE OF DEVONSHIRE)

My Lords, I beg leave to introduce a Bill to provide for payment of compensation or disablement benefit in the case of male workmen who have died from, or become totally and permanently incapacitated for work as a result of, the respiratory disease known as byssinosis and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid; and to move that it be now read a first time.
