Order of the Day for the Third Reading read.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR INDIA AND BURMA (THE MARQUESS OF ZETLAND)

My Lords, I beg to move that this Bill be read a third time. Perhaps I can save your Lordships' time if I explain that, with four exceptions, the whole of the Amendments to this and the two following Bills which stand in my name are purely drafting. The only Amendments which are not drafting are one Amendment to the Schedule to the Dumbarton Bill, two Amendments to the Schedule to the second Bill, and one Amendment to the Schedule of the third Bill, the purpose of which I will explain when we come to it.
