HL Deb 28 February 1940 vol 115 c620

SOUTH-EASTERN GAS CORPORA-

TION LIMITED (ASSOCIATED COMPANIES) BILL. [H.L.]

SOUTH SUBURBAN GAS BILL. [H.L.]

THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF ONSLOW)

My Lords, I beg to move that Standing Order No. 105 be considered in order to its being dispensed with in respect of the Commercial Gas Bill, the Farnham Gas and Electricity Bill, the Gosport Water Bill, the South-Eastern Gas Corporation Limited (Associated Companies) Bill and the South Suburban Gas Bill. The necessity for suspending the Standing Order is that owing to unavoidable circumstances the Examiners were not able to deal with these Bills in time to allow of their being read a second time according to Standing Orders.

Moved, That Standing Order No. 105 be considered in order to its being dispensed with in respect of the said Bills.—(The Earl of Onslow.)

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
