HL Deb 03 April 1940 vol 116 c48
LORD SNELL

My Lords, I beg to ask the noble Earl the Leader of the House if he can make any statement about future business.

EARL STANHOPE>

My Lords, I am much obliged to the noble Lord. There is no business on the Paper for to-morrow, nor is there any business for Tuesday of next week. In fact, there is no business for Thursday of next week either. Therefore I propose that when we adjourn today it shall be until Wednesday of next week. Perhaps we had better wait and see whether any business is put down for the Thursday before deciding anything further. At any rate, the only business at present on the Paper for next week is that set down for Wednesday.

House adjourned at ten minutes before six o'clock.
