§ EARL STANHOPEThere are four more Bills which we are going to ask your Lordships to pass, but none of them have yet appeared from another place. I think the most convenient thing to do is for the House to adjourn now till three o'clock and meet then, by which time we hope we shall be able to go ahead with our business and complete it. It will then of course, be followed by a Royal Commission so that the Bills may receive the Royal Assent. The four Bills are, as your Lordships know, National Service (Armed Forces) Bill, Personal Injuries (Emergency Provisions) Bill, Pensions (Navy, Army, Air Force and Mercantile Marine) Bill, National Health Insurance and Contributory Pensions (Emergency Provisions) Bill.
§ THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURYMy Lords, I do not know whether your Lordships will allow me to ask my noble friend if he can give us any idea whether this 969 House will sit to-morrow and on subsequent days of this week. If he is unable to say anything, I shall understand, but it will be a great convenience if he can tell us anything of that kind.
