§ EARL STANHOPEMy Lords, perhaps before the Royal Commission it might be of advantage if I told your Lordships the business we propose for next week. There is a Motion on the Paper for next Tuesday—which is the first day, apart from judicial business, on which there is anything for the House to do—in the name of Lord Swaythling on the subject of the retention of the milk recording scheme for 1419 farmers, and I understand that the noble Lord, Lord Newton, has also put a Motion on the Paper. I propose that we should meet at half past three on that day. The House will meet on Wednesday for the usual weekly statement, and if there is no other business on the Paper I propose that we meet at a quarter to four. In the event of there being business of importance to transact before the statement the House will meet earlier. As there is no business at present on the Paper for Thursday it may not be necessary for the House to meet on that day. Therefore I suggest that we meet at half past three on Tuesday, and a quarter to four on Wednesday, unless anything additional to the Government statement appears to be necessary on that day.
§ House adjourned during pleasure.
§ House resumed.
