HL Deb 30 November 1939 vol 115 c84
THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (EARL STANHOPE)

My Lords, I propose that the House should meet on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week for the business which already appears upon the Paper. If the debate on the Motion of the noble Lord the Leader of the Opposition does not finish early enough on Tuesday, I propose that it should be continued on Thursday. Otherwise there is no business on the Paper for Thursday of next week. I propose that the House should meet at 3.30 p.m. each day. I think if a Government statement is to be made it is likely to be made on Wednesday, but I am not sure that it will be necesary to make one next week at all.

House adjourned at twenty-six minutes past four o'clock.
