HL Deb 28 March 1939 vol 112 c480
THE FIRST LORD OF THE ADMIRALTY (EARL STANHOPE)

My Lords, I suggest that the House should meet tomorrow at half-past three, and that we should then move the suspension of Standing Order No. XXI with the object of altering the order of business. The proposal that I put before your Lordships is that we should then take the Second Reading of the Consolidated Fund Bill and pass it through all its stages, and also the Third Reading of the China (Currency Stabilisation) Bill. When those have been completed, the Royal Commission will sit at 3.45 to give the Royal Assent. We shall then pass on to take the Motion of the noble Lord, Lord Addison, dealing with unemployment. I think that would be for the convenience of your Lordships' proceedings, and I understand that it will also fit in with the arrangements in another place.

House adjourned at twenty-seven minutes before eight o'clock.
