THE PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY OF THE MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE AND FISHERIES (THE EARL OF FEVERSHAM)

My Lords, I beg to introduce a Bill to secure improvement in the health and quality of live poultry, and in the marketing of poultry and eggs; for making better provision for securing the marking of preserved eggs, and the enforcement of the Merchandise Marks Acts, 1887 to 1938, as respects imported eggs; for regulating the importation of poultry and eggs; and for purposes connected with the matters aforesaid. I move that the Bill be read a first time.
