HL Deb 25 July 1939 vol 114 c518

Clause 6, page 3, line 31, after ("if") insert ("for the purpose of killing hares or rabbits").

LORD SEMPILL

This has reference also to the first Amendment in the Title, which has been agreed to by your Lordships—namely, as to the prohibition of night shooting. In this respect, and in subsequent Amendments, it is proposed to leave the Ground Game Act of 1880, in so far as night shooting is concerned, exactly as it is; but a suggestion is put forward by the other House with regard to traps, that they should only be set in specific places at the mouth of rabbit holes, and in no other places.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Sempill.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
