HL Deb 26 May 1938 vol 109 cc598-9

Order of the Day for the consideration of Commons Amendments read.

LORD TEMPLEMORE

My Lords, I beg to move that the Commons Amendments be now considered. In doing so, I would point out to your Lordships that the Amendments in all cases are either drafting or explanatory, and it is not thought that any of them raises a question of major importance. I am going to suggest to your Lordships that we should agree with all of them. With your Lordships' permission I shall explain the reasons for the Amendments on each clause and group the Amendments to that clause together when we come to them so as to save your Lordships' time, because I know you wish to get on to the consideration of the important business still on the Paper. I beg to move.

Moved, That the Commons Amendments be now considered.—(Lord Templemore.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
