§ [The references are to Bill No. 195.]
§ Clause 5, page 4, line 31, after ("use,") insert (without any material variation")
VISCOUNT GAGEMy Lords, these Amendments are all comparatively minor drafting Amendments which have been inserted in another place. The first Amendment is simply to give a little more liberty to certain manufacturers who without this protection would be under undue hardship. It is practically a drafting Amendment. I move that it be agreed to.
§ Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Viscount Gage.)
THE EARL OF ONSLOWMy Lords, I should like to add, as Chairman of the Joint Select Committee which considered this Bill, that I have been through the Commons Amendments and I do not think there can be any difficulty about them or that we are in any way at variance with the Amendments.
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
