HL Deb 21 July 1938 vol 110 c1082
LORD ALNESS

My Lords, by leave of the House, I propose to defer moving the Second Reading of this Bill to-clay and to move it on Monday next.

THE PAYMASTER-GENERAL (THE EARL OF MUNSTER)

My Lords, I rise only to say that the Government have no objection to the postponement of the Second Reading of this Bill to Monday next. I think indeed probably that will meet the convenience of your Lordships, because I understand that one or two noble Lords who wished to take part in the Second Reading discussion were unable to be here to-day. Perhaps they will be able to be in the House on Monday. I hope your Lordships will approve of the proposal to postpone the Second Reading.

Motion for Second Reading put off to Monday next.
