HL Deb 17 February 1938 vol 107 c743

MIDDLESEX HOSPITAL BILL. [H.L.]

STOCKTON-ON-TEES CORPORATION BILL. [H.L.]

PLYMOUTH EXTENSION BILL. [H.L.]

SALFORD CORPORATION BILL. [H.L.]

WAKEFIELD CORPORATION BILL. [H.L.]

THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF ONSLOW)

My Lords, there are a number of Bills in regard to which I have to ask your Lordships to dispense with Standing Order No. 105. Except in the case of the Stockton-on-Tees Corporation Bill we have been waiting for the Attorney-General's Report. Bills cannot be read a second time before that Report is received, and therefore I am asking your Lordships now to dispense with the Standing Order. The Stockton-on-Tees Bill has been held up for the convenience of Lord Chesham, who has new withdrawn his opposition to the Bill. I therefore move that Standing Order No. 105 be considered in order to its being dispensed with in respect of the Brills I have mentioned in order that they may be read a second time.

Moved, That Standing Order No. 105 be considered in order to its being dispensed with in respect of the said Bills. —(The Earl of Onslow.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
