HL Deb 07 April 1938 vol 108 cc598-9
THE DUKE OF BUCCLEUCH

My Lords, may I ask the Leader of the House if he is able to make it possible for your Lordships to be present at an important meeting in connection with the Scottish Exhibition to be held in Westminster Hall at 4.30 to-day?

THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF EDUCATION (EARL STANHOPE)

My Lords, I understand it would be for the convenience of many of your Lordships who are particularly interested in the proceedings to take place in Westminster Hall if we were to adjourn during those proceedings. If, therefore, it is the wish of your Lordships, I suggest that we should adjourn at twenty minutes past four o'clock, and reassemble as soon as the meeting is over. I understand it will take about half an hour.
