HL Deb 16 March 1937 vol 104 c675

Order of the Day for the House to be put into Committee read.

Moved, That the House do now resolve itself into Committee.—(Viscount Gage.)

LORD GAINFORD

My Lords, on that Motion I wish, on behalf of the Central Council for the Protection of Rivers, including the National Association of Fishery Boards and all water authorities in this country, to say that we are most anxious that this Bill should pass at the earliest possible date into law. They are not prepared to suggest any Amendment whatsoever, and they are satisfied with its provisions.

VISCOUNT GAGE

I am much obliged to my noble friend.

On Question, Motion agreed to.

House in Committee accordingly:

Bill reported without amendment.
