HL Deb 11 March 1937 vol 104 c624
THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (VISCOUNT HALIFAX)

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion standing in my name.

Moved, That Standing Order No. XXXIX be considered in order to its being dispensed with for the purpose of passing the Merchant Shipping (Spanish Frontiers Observation) Bill [H.L.] through its remaining stages.—(Viscount Halifax.)

LORD SNELL

My Lords, I should just like to say that we on these Benches offer no opposition to the Bill passing through in one day. Our concern respecting it was stated yesterday by my noble friend Lord Strabolgi, and with that we are willing to assist the passage of the Bill.

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
