HL Deb 13 July 1937 vol 106 c348

Domestic Proceedings.

Proceedings— (c) for affiliation orders under the Acts relating to bastardy; other than proceedings for the enforcement of an order made under any of those Acts, or for the variation of any provision of an order made under any of those Acts for the payment of money.

LORD ATKIN moved to leave out from the Schedule paragraph (c). The noble and learned Lord said: This is the effective part of the proposal. The result, which has now been accepted by your Lordships, is that paragraph (c) disappears, so that domestic proceedings, as defined in the Bill, will only include proceedings under the Guardianship of Infants Acts, and the Summary Jurisdiction (Separation and Maintenance) Acts. Affiliation proceedings will only come in in those clauses in which you have been good enough to let me include them by my Amendments.

Amendment moved— In the Schedule, page 8, line 8, leave out paragraph (c).—(Lord Atkin.)

On Question, Amendment agreed to.

Schedule, as amended, agreed to.
