My Lords, I beg leave to introduce a Bill to give effect to an International Convention for the protection of industrial property and to amend the provisions of the Patents and Designs Acts, 1907 to 1932, relating to matters affected by the said Convention, and to give effect to an International Agreement regarding false indications of origin on goods, and to amend the provisions of the Merchandise Marks Acts, 1887 to 1926, relating to matters affected by the said Agreement; and to move that the Bill be now read a first time.
