HL Deb 26 November 1936 vol 103 c422
THE MARQUESS OF ZETLAND

My Lords, this Order is to provide for the allowances and privileges of the Governors of the different Provinces, and it embodies substantially the arrangements so far as these allowances are concerned which exist at the present time. The only change of any importance under this new Order is that the Governors will be entitled to Customs privileges corresponding to the privileges we grant to the representatives of foreign countries over here. I beg to move that the Order be approved.

Moved, That the Draft Order, as presented to Parliament and reported from the India and Burma Orders Committee on Thursday last, be considered and approved.—(The Marquess of Zeeland.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
