HL Deb 28 July 1936 vol 102 cc307-8
LORD MARLEY

My Lords, before the House adjourns, may I ask the noble Earl whether he has any statement to make in regard to the business of the House and with reference to the date of re-assembly after the Recess?

EARL STANHOPE

My Lords, I do not think I have any statement in regard to future business other than appears on the Paper. In regard to the Summer Recess, which is a question I suppose that interests the noble Lord opposite as it interests most of us, the Government propose that the House should re-assemble on Thursday, October 29. It is expected that Parliament will be prorogued on that date and that His Majesty will open the new Session on Tuesday, November 3.

House adjourned at twenty-nine minutes past four o'clock.
