THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF ONSLOW

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion standing on the Paper in my name. A Joint Committee was appointed during the life of the last Parliament, but did not finish its labours. It is considered that it should be reappointed in order that the matter may be concluded.

Moved, That a Committee of six Lords be appointed to join with the Committee of the House of Commons to consider and report upon the accommodation for refreshment rooms and lavatories in the Palace of Westminster, as mentioned in the Commons Message of Tuesday last, and that the Lords following with the Chairman of Committees be named of the Committee:

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Ordered, That such Committee have power to agree with the Committee of the Commons in the appointment of a Chairman:

That the Minutes of Evidence taken by the Joint Committee on Refreshment Rooms and Lavatories in the Palace of Westminster in the last Session of Parliament be referred to the Committee.

Then a message was ordered to be sent to the Commons to inform them of the appointment of the said Committee by this House.
