HL Deb 23 October 1935 vol 98 cc1185-6
LORD SNELL

My Lords, would it be possible for the Leader of the House to give now any information as to the future course of business?

THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (THE MARQUESS OF LONDONDERRY)

My Lords, in reply to the noble Lord, I am happy to give him an answer to the question he has put. When we meet to-morrow it is proposed to ask your Lordships to approve of the Draft Order under the Unemployment Insurance Act which was laid on the Table yesterday. After that we hope to conclude the debate on the Italo-Abyssinian dispute. We shall meet on Friday for formal business only. As the Prime Minister announced in another place this afternoon, Parliament will be prorogued and dissolved on Friday next, October 25. The new Parliament will meet on Tuesday, November 26, for formal business, and the State opening of Parliament will take place on Tuesday, December 3.

House adjourned at twelve minutes before seven o'clock.
