§ THE MARQUESS OF LONDONDERRYMy Lords, I beg to move that this House do now adjourn.
§ Moved, That this House do now adjourn.—(The Marquess of Londonderry.)
§ THE LORD CHANCELLORMy Lords, in order to avoid any strictures tomorrow, may I say that I am unfortunately presiding judicially in the Privy Council and therefore I shall not be in my place at three o'clock; but I have made arrangements for the Woolsack to be occupied, and I hope to be free at four o'clock. I only say this because I do not wish to run any risk of disapprobation from the Front Opposition Bench.
§ LORD PONSONBY OF SHULBREDEMy Lords, I am sorry that for the first hour to-morrow we shall be deprived of the presence of the Lord Chancellor, but I must say I think there was no need to call attention to my having made my observations, because I think I was well justified this afternoon.
§ On Question, Motion agreed to.
§ House adjourned at seven minutes before four o'clock.
