HL Deb 25 July 1935 vol 98 cc851-2

Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.

THE UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (EARL STAN-HOPE)

My Lords, this Bill comes before your Lordships almost as an entirely formal matter. It is intended to bring Isle of Man Customs legislation into line with legislation passed here. Your Lordships have agreed to these provisions in the Finance Act this year, and therefore I think I need say nothing further about it because you are already fully acquainted with the matter.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2a.—(Earl Stanhope.)

On Question, Bill read 2a, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House.
