HL Deb 22 July 1935 vol 98 cc648-9

Read 3a (according to Order).

Clause 9 [Licences to mark bottles]

LORD TEMPLEMORE

My Lords, I beg to move, in the proviso in subsec- tion (1), to leave out "for the purposes of this subsection," in order to insert the words "by virtue of this section. "This is a drafting Amendment. The word "subsection" at the top of page 10 should obviously read "section" and I am advised that the proper way to amend this word in order to get the sense that is required is to move the Amendment which I have just indicated. I beg to move.

Amendment moved— Clause 9, page 9, line 41, leave out from ("prescribed") to ("shall") in line 1 of page 10 and insert the words ("by virtue of this section").—(Lord Templemore.)

On Question, Amendment agreed to.

Amendments (Privilege) made.

Bill passed, and seat to the Commons.
