HL Deb 18 July 1935 vol 98 c502
LORD SNELL

My Lords, can the noble Marquess the Leader of the House give us any information about business for next week, the days on which the House will sit, and the time of meeting?

THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (THE MARQUESS OF LONDONDERRY)

My Lords, I am obliged to the noble Lord for giving me this opportunity of stating the business for next week. I will begin by informing the noble Lord that I am proposing we should sit at three o'clock every day next week. I was proposing, in order to ensure progress with business before the Recess, to bring forward a Motion giving Government business precedence. I thought I would move that Motion on Monday. The Committee stage of the Housing (Scotland) Bill will be concluded on Monday, if time permits, after the conclusion of the Report stage of the Government of India Bill. I have here a programme of the business for next week. It means sitting on four days, and I have a list of the measures which it is proposed should be dealt with, but I do not think there is any need for me, after what I have said about business, to give your Lordships details of the measures which will be brought forward from Monday till Thursday. If there is any other question which any noble Lord wishes to ask I shall be delighted to reply.
