THE LORD CHANCELLOR

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion which stands in my name with reference to Consolidation Bills. There are several matters which we propose to consolidate, and this is the ordinary formal Motion that a Joint Committee be appointed.

Moved to resolve, That it is desirable that all Consolidation Bills in the present Session be referred to a Joint Committee of both Houses of Parliament.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Ordered, That a Message be sent to the Commons to communicate the Resolution, and to desire their concurrence.
