HL Deb 21 June 1934 vol 93 c130
LORD PONSONBY OF SHULBREDE

My Lords, before we adjourn may I ask the noble Earl if he can make any statement about the business for next week?

THE EARL OF LUCAN

My Lords, I am much obliged to my noble friend for asking this question. Really there is practically nothing to add to the business which is already down on the Order Paper. It includes on Tuesday next the Second Reading of the Marriages Provisional Orders Bill and the Adoption of Children (Workmen's Compensation) Bill, the consideration of Commons Amendments to the Gas Undertakings Bill, and the Committee stage of the Trustee Savings Banks (Special Investments) Bill. I understand that the Third Reading of the Road Traffic (Compensation for Accidents) Bill will also be taken on that day. On Wednesday, Lord Templetown has a Question with regard to the recognition of the Arabs and their rights as a nation, Lord Elibank has a Question with reference to an Imperial Air Force, and Lord Mottistone is calling attention to the inadequacy of the air defences of this country. I understand that in addition, on Wednesday the House will be in Committee on the Palestine Loans Bill. On Thursday the further stages of the Whaling Industry (Regulations) Bill and the Sea Fisheries Regulation Bill will be taken. I understand there is no other business at present down on the Paper.

House adjourned at ten minutes past five o'clock.
