Clause 1, page 1, line 12, after ("persons") insert ("between the ages of sixteen and eighteen years ")

THE EARL OF FEVERSHAM

My Lords, the first Amendment, on the Paper limits the working of overtime by young persons to those who are between the ages of sixteen and eighteen years. It will not, therefore, now be possible for a young person under sixteen years to work more than forty-eight hours in any week or fifty-two hours during the transitional period of two years. I beg to move.

Moved, That this House doth agree, with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(The Earl of Fever sham.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
