THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (VISCOUNT HAILSHAM):

My Lords, I beg to move the Motion which stands in my name. It is moved merely in order to enable the business which was down for Tuesday to be taken on Monday, so that we may take the Road Traffic Bill Report stage on Tuesday, as far as possible without interference. I beg to move.

Moved, That leave be given to advance the Motions for the House to be put into Committee on the Poor Law (Scotland) Bill, for the Second Readings of the Colonial Stock Bill, the Isle of Man (Customs) Bill, and the Public Works Loans Bill, and for the consideration of the Commons Amendments to the Shops Bill [H.L.] (which stand appointed for Tuesday next) to Monday next.—(Viscount Hailsham.)
