HL Deb 16 November 1933 vol 89 cc439-40

Clause 1, page 1, line 21, at end insert ("being birds of a British species, and for the purposes of this Act a species shall be deemed to he British if, and only if, it is a species resident in or visiting Great Britain in a wild state").

VISCOUNT BUCKMASTER

My Lords, the next Amendment is a definition of birds of British species, and it states that "for the purposes of this Act a species shall be deemed to be British if, and only if, it is a species resident in or visiting Great Britain in a wild state." I should have thought that was obvious, but that is no reason why we should disagree with this Amendment.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Viscount Buckmaster.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
