My Lords, in the absence of my noble friend the Leader of the House, I beg to move the Motion which stands in his name.

Moved, That Standing Orders Nos. XXI and XXXIX be considered in order to their being suspended for this day's sitting for the purpose of giving precedence over other Orders of the Day to the Consolidated Fund (No. 2) Bill and the Assurance Companies (Winding up) Bill [H.L.], and in order to take the Bills through their remaining stages.—(The Marquess of Londonderry.)
