HL Deb 07 February 1933 vol 86 c546
LORD PONSONBY OF SHULBREDE

My Lords, perhaps the noble Marquess who is leading the House would give us some indication of what the work of the House will be during the next fortnight, and whether there is any Government business down for any day next week?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR AIR (THE MARQUESS OF LONDONDERRY)

My Lords, the noble Lord has asked about the course of business, and in the absence of my noble friend, who, I am sorry to say, is not able to be present, I am happy to tell him as far as we know what the business is. To-morrow Lord Lugard is calling attention to the situation in regard to the development of the goldfields in Kenya. On Thursday Lord Rankeillour is asking a question in regard to the future government of India and the intentions of His Majesty's Government in connection with the Joint Select Committee of both Houses of Parliament. As to other business we shall hope to be better informed next week. I might add that there is business on the Paper for the following Wednesday, but beyond that I am not able to impart any information to the noble Lord.

House adjourned at twenty minutes past four o'clock.
