HL Deb 12 April 1933 vol 87 c548

[The reference is to Bill No. (35).]

Clause 15, page 11, line 35, leave out from the second ("to") to the end of line 36 and insert ("those offences").

THE EARL OF LUCAN

My Lords, the Amendment made by the Commons is in Clause 15, page 11, line 35, and is to leave out from the second "to" to the end of line 36, and insert "those offences." This was done in order to correct an error in drafting which was only discovered after the Bill reached the Commons. I am sorry to say that the Joint Committee on Consolidation Bills did not discover the error, but it was discovered in the Commons and the Amendment is to correct that drafting error. I beg to move that your Lordships do agree with the Commons Amendment.

Moved, That this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(The Earl of Lucan.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
