HL Deb 04 May 1932 vol 84 c290
LORD DANESFORT

My Lords, I desire to ask permission of your Lordships' House to withdraw the Bill entitled Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill, to which your Lordships gave a First Reading about a week or a fortnight ago, with a view of substituting for it an amended Bill. The reason why I propose to ask your leave to withdraw the existing Bill is that, upon looking into it carefully, it was found that it could be simplified and improved and presented in a better form to your Lordships. That being so, I would ask leave to withdraw that Bill and, if your Lordships grant me leave, I shall ask permission to introduce a Bill in substitution.

Bill, by leave, withdrawn.
