HL Deb 28 June 1932 vol 85 c210
THE EARL OF PLYMOUTH

My Lords, the East Cornwall Electricity Order was considered by the Special Orders Committee and referred to a Select Committee which reported that the Special Order should be approved provided that those provisions which affected the St. Austell Rural Council were struck out. Following that Report the promoters have informed the Minister of Transport that they do not wish to proceed with the Order, and in the circumstances I do not propose to ask this House to affirm the Order.
