HL Deb 24 September 1931 vol 82 c137
THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF ONSLOW)

My Lords, the four Motions which stand on the Paper in. my name are purely formal. As your Lordships are aware it is usual that the Leader of the House and the Leader of the Opposition should be members of these Committees. The noble Marquess, Lord Reading, was not a member before and Lord Parmoor was a. member in his capacity as Lord President of the Council. Therefore it is now necessary to move not only that the noble Marquess shall be a member of these Committees but also that Lord Par-moor's name shall be added as he has ceased to be Lord President. I therefore beg to move.

Moved, That the Marquess of Reading and the Lord Parmoor be added to the Select Committee.—(The Earl of Onslow.)

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
